      <image:caption>I am a registered dietitian in rural Iowa. I support clients who feel like they don’t know what is “right” or “wrong” with when they eat, what they eat, why they eat, and how their body is affected. I focus my practice in the areas of eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, body image healing, and other disorders that has made it difficult to eat or trust your body such as polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). In our journey together, we will work to reclaim confidence in yourself through gentle nutrition, and decrease the time and energy that has been consumed about food, eating, and the aftermath. Nutrition therapy, or nutrition counseling, is more than me telling you “how to eat”. It’s a journey we travel on together - I am your support and your guide to help you feel confident in your own abilities again.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>I grew up on a family farm in central Iowa, where I was always amazed how we can grow or raise food, which then benefits our body when we eat. Later, I realized that eating was a challenge for some - food access, various diagnosed conditions, or feeling good in one’s body. Our world today is obsessed with dieting: Eat this, not that. It’s a lifestyle Eating healthier while really just restricting foods It’s a cleanse, just to reset Elimination diets that aren’t professionally monitored I don’t care what you call it. If you’re struggling with food or are trying to make sense of what our diet obsessed culture is talking about, I am here to help lead you away from that mess and down a clear path. I practice using two frameworks: Health at Every Size - weight isn’t a behavior. Weight and fat stigma can be a barrier to proper nutrition care and I work to dismantle that. People of all ages, body shapes, sizes, and weights need affirming care to help them stop dieting, and start living. Intuitive Eating - our bodies are so much smarter than a “what I eat in a day” article or video made by a celebrity or influencer. Using the 10 Intuitive Eating Principles, I help clients find the path to being confident in their body’s internal cues, while bringing enjoyment back to eating.</image:caption>
